Tiara Jacquelina
Tiara Jacquelina Eu Effendi (3 October 1967) is a Malaysian actress and film producer. She is famous for her part in ''Puteri Gunung Ledang'', the biggest budget movie in Malaysia up to 2005,〔(Puteri Gunung Ledang musical, Friday, 14 October 2005 – "Thestar.com". )〕 in which she played the lead role, and sang the theme song, "Asmaradana". Besides appearing on stage and on camera, Tiara Jacquelina is the Managing Director of Enfiniti Productions, a Malaysian company in the arts & entertainment and television production fields.
==Early life and career==
Jacquelina was born Jacqueline Eu in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to a Burmese Chinese father and Indonesian Chinese mother. She has been involved in the arts at a very early stage, and while at school, was part of the Theatre Society, the Literary Society, and was the President of the Film Society.〔(Tiara Jacquelina joins celebrities as international adviser for performing arts, 17 January 2008 – limkokwing.net )〕 She first began her film career in 1988. In 1995, costarred with Academy Award winner, Frances McDormand, who played the lead role in the movie, ''Beyond Rangoon''. In the 12th Malaysia Film Festival that year, she won the best actress award〔(Tiara Jacquelina – cinemamalaysia )〕 in the movie, ''Ringgit Kasorrga'', a social drama concerning a sex scandal involving a politician and young models. In 2004, she appeared in ''Puteri Gunung Ledang''.
